BUas welcomed KreativEU partners to Breda for a Walking Seminar exploring the city through street art and urban storytelling. Participants discovered how Breda's iconic Blind Walls Gallery transforms public spaces into canvases for dialogue, a vivid reminder that heritage is not only found in museums, but also painted on walls and shared in streets. NEXT ROUTES project delivers digital toolkit for Europe's Cultural Routes

A two-year Erasmus+-funded project led by BUas has delivered a digital toolkit to bridge skills gaps among Cultural Route managers across Europe. The NEXT ROUTES toolkit uses gamification to provide tailored digital training, helping heritage organisations engage younger audiences and adapt to the digital age. Partners from six countries participated, spanning routes from the Phoenicians' Route in Italy to the European Mozart Ways in Austria. Read more…

BUas secures funding to bring the world into every classroom

BUas has joined COILectiVE NL: a national network that advances Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) across Dutch higher education. COIL connects students with international peers through virtual collaboration embedded in the curriculum, making global learning accessible to every student regardless of whether they have the opportunity to study abroad. BUas has also secured national funding to scale up COIL across programmes through a research project running until July 2028, aiming to reach over 100 additional students in international virtual collaboration. Eight benefit concerts for a children's music school in Ukraine

In January 2026, second-year students from BUas' Live Music & Dance Events specialisation organised eight benefit shows across four Dutch cities, from jazz in Breda to tech house in Rotterdam, raising funds for the Shpaniv School of Arts in Ukraine. Despite the ongoing war, this music school continues to provide children with access to arts education. The BUas students not only organised the events professionally but demonstrated what it means to use their skills with purpose, as a genuine contribution to music education elsewhere in Europe.
